Say something kind? Today was so hard. 😔 What would you have done in this situation? I know things happen but it's so painful to see our pup upset like this when we've worked really hard to help build up his confidence. The worst part is that when I politely asked the owner to leash his dog, he didn't apologize and instead made a comment about how his dog was "so small" and "what could he really do?" | literally held back tears as we scurried back home as quickly as possible. Once inside, I tried really hard to distract Myko with some quick training exercises and treats. It worked for a little but then when we tried to walk again, he just sat shaking by the door. I guess I'm hoping that by sharing this, maybe people see it and consider why there are leash laws in the first place - we love EVERY dog and so wish they could all get along. But it's just not always the case. And, they might run into a dog like Myko who doesn't bounce back from moments like these too easily. ☹️ #rescuedog #dogtraining #dogmom
