At no point could I predict what happened next. We headed to the historic Valley Inn in Portsmouth, Rhode Island for an event celebrating Amy Bruni’s To Kill For - a gothic cookbook where true crime, paranormal history and food all meet at the same table. We talked historic murders, hauntings and the darker stories behind the recipes, while being served a recipe from the book. I can’t believe Thomas Cornell is buried right beside the driveway, meaning patrons have been unknowingly passing his grave on their way in and out for years. Oh…and I learned the Valley Inn was designed by the same architect associated with the Amityville Horror house. True crime + ghost stories + historic architecture + dinner from a gothic cookbook = perfect day. #amybruni #tokillfor #truecrimecookbook #paranormal #hauntedrhodeisland
