If you think I sound angry: I am. You should be, too I almost didn’t post this, despite being asked. I don’t post a lot of my news clips. It can feel very “look at me!” when so often im talking about injustice and Black pain. Plus, this was 30 mins after the video came out-I was processing live on air, split screen with footage I don’t want to help circulate. But then my dear sisterfriend @angela_rye reminded me that its important for our people to hear our perspectives in mainstream places because it happens so little. She reminded me why I started doing this at all. Because if I can be a person who can help shout what we are so often forced to whisper, then maybe, just maybe, I can be a small help to steer people and institutions and people who run institutions past our reality and into the future we deserve.
