So there’s been a LOT of coverage of the resignation of Professor Jason Arday over the last few days - all feeding the grotesque and entirely untrue notion that DEI is the only reason marginalised groups get into positions of power. Even though it’s quite a nuanced case that may involve genuine plagiarism, the difference in treatment between white members of staff and a professor Arday is noticeable. But of course the right wing press ignore all of that in favour of continuing harmful narratives around race. Shame on them. #cambridge #university #ukpolitics #rightwing #comedy
