My sexual fluidity emerged later in life, and in the beginning, I struggled to understand and accept myself. Today, I find that I’m more attracted to women, though I truly believe that we fall in love with people, not genders. My goal in this life is to connect with my true self and to live with courage, love, and freedom. By sharing my story, I hope to be the reference I didn’t have while growing up. I’m doing this fearlessly now, more than ever, because the world still treats our community as “different,” and our rights are under constant threat. I know there are still so many women out there who are afraid of society’s judgment. Life is too short and too unpredictable. Only by being truly ourselves can we experience real happiness.
