I’ve been thinking a lot about seasonal living recently. To me, it has become a bit of a rebellion against the idea that happiness exists elsewhere. Society is constantly encouraging us to look ahead. To the weekend. The holiday. Autumn. Christmas. Next year. The next purchase. The next version of ourselves. But seasonal living asks us to do the opposite. It asks us to look down at our feet. Because if I spend July dreaming of October, I’ll miss the scent of the sweet peas. If August is spent buying pumpkins, I’ll forget to pick the blackberries. If September is already Christmas planning, I’ll overlook the final roses. The seasons were never meant to be rushed through. They were meant to be lived. So I refuse to treat July as something to get through on the way to October. Because one day, I’ll wish I had one more July. #seasonalliving #autumn #Evergreen
