She didn't know when she gave it to me that I had written in the card how much I trust her and how grateful I am for her patience and help. This is the experience that my inner child really needed, and I hate that she never got it. I'm glad I get to have it now though. I'll keep my little snowman ☃️ forever. Maybe when I eventually finish my degree and become a therapist it'll sit in my office too. (Also if I see one single comment saying it's unprofessional for her to accept a card from me or for her to give me something in return I will simply lose it because every therapeutic relationship is different and there are times when this is appropriate when boundaries are known and respected and times when it isn't. Some of y'all, therapists included, forget that therapy relationships are still human relationships and they vary greatly depending on the therapist, type of therapy, and boundaries and comfort levels of both therapist and client.) #fypシ #autisticadult #therapy #trauma
