Love Is the Monster — a Finnish folklore horror film that’s equal parts beautiful, strange, and wild. Think White Lotus meets horror. This one was such a ride. From action to sci-fi, musicals to now stepping into the eerie, elevated world of Scandinavian horror — I love exploring new genres, new aesthetics, and new ways of storytelling. We filmed in Canada, recreating the haunting beauty of the Finnish wilderness, with director @alexnoyer, producer @laurencegnd and @gencopictures, the incredible team at @lemposretreat, and my amazing co-star @madelinezima. What drew me to this project was the heart behind the horror — every culture has its folklore, its myths, its monsters, and they all carry something deeply human underneath. Finland’s folklore is full of strange, fascinating, emotional stories that ask big questions about love, fear, and what it means to face ourselves. Now it’s heading into the world, starting its festival run after our incredible world premiere in LA. Can’t wait for everyone to see it. Grab your popcorn — this one’s going to be a scream. 🍿🖤
