Animal work is something I’m just recently learning about when it comes to acting. Jack Martin speaks about how Austin Butler’s Elvis’ performance inspired him to look into modeling a character’s physicality after an animal. While that might sound confusing, it’s actually incredibly smart and a great way to figure out how to move as your character. If you’ve seen Pizza Movie, it makes perfect sense that Jack modeled his character after a hawk. This is exactly why I love filmmaking so much. You hear about all the work that goes into a performance and then you see that work in the actual character. Very cool.
