From TARS to CASE and now Cyclops, Bill Irwin is such a brilliant performer that brings a unique level of humanity to his characters in Christopher Nolan’s films. For Interstellar, Bill did the puppetry for both TARS and CASE on the sets, while also providing the voice of TARS. Nolan’s answer to this is so interesting and exactly why we feel the way we do during that sequence. Such a brilliant scene and a brilliant mix of visual effects, voice and make-up.
