Kind Of Chic to be a Survivor 🕊️ But truly - it is one of the hardest things to walkthrough being the scapegoat of one side of your family. It is indescribable to be the one who was abused and be made to be the villain in some people’s story. To be misunderstood when everything about your nervous system and survival told you that you had to overexplain yourself and people please to ensure you were believed. To break that cycle - and to break what’s been embedded into every fiber of your being for years and years and years is a fight that is so difficult to articulate. But that’s why I am here - that’s why I am sharing with you all because I’m actively trying to shed this weight I’ve carried for too many years. The weight of all the things I was never meant to carry as a child and into my adulthood. So much of my life was spent neglecting myself in order to keep the peace, survive, and make it out the other side and I am no longer going to abandon myself. Not only for myself but for the thousands and thousands of you out there that I know are struggling too. I am so proud of you all and I am here for you. We have got this. Let’s return to ourselves and start taking our power back that was robbed of us. 👏🏼🫶🏼🕊️ #trauma #traumarecovery #healing #healingmotherhood #survivor
