easy saurkraut at home! recipe below! ingredients: 1 head of cabbage 2 tbsp sea salt optional: herbs/garlic/spices instructions: *thinly slice cabbage and remove core *in a large bowl, sprinkle salt on top of sliced cabbage. *massage vigourously for about 15 minutes or until cabbage is soft and released water. *place into airtight jar. *cover with a weight or a piece of cabbage leaf. *if there is not enough liquid covering the cabbage, add 1 cup of water mixed with 1 tsp of sea salt into your jar making sure liquid covers all of the cabbage. *place jar on top of a plate and store in a dark cool place. *burp jar once a day and watch your cabbage ferment! *ready by 1 week. can ferment up to 4 weeks.
