⚠️HOW AMAZING IS THIS VIDEO OF A BABY CHIMP BEING WELCOMED BY HIS NEW FAMILY?⚠️We love this video of baby chimp Beckley meeting his new adopted family for the first time in the Little Bassa forest in Liberia as the other orphaned chimps are so warm and welcoming! Sadly, all these chimps have been orphaned due to their families being victims of the bushmeat and illegal pet trade and we cannot repeat it enough: chimpanzees should not be pets or forced to live with humans! The incredible sanctuary is the first and only chimpanzee conservation organization in Liberia that rescues orphaned chimpanzees and right now they’re caring for more than 40 orphaned chimpanzees, nearly all under the age of 5. Their mothers were tragically killed by poachers and require around the clock care, but thanks to the LCRP’s dedicated caregivers and staff, the orphans are being rehabilitated so that they will be able to thrive with others in a natural and safe environment when they’re older.
