What's happening in Los Angeles is so devestating. My thoughts go out to all my friends and everyone in LA affected by the fires and who have lost thier homes. I just want to share my feelings of grief and awe over the devastation caused by the fires ravaging the Los Angeles area. Grief: Thousands have lost their homes, including my childhood friend Billy Crystal and his wife Janice who lost their home of 45 years. Others lost their lives. Awe: About 7,500 firefighters are courageously battling an overwhelming inferno. My Airplane! co-star Robert Hays bravely helped first responders in the midst of the chaos. We all feel helpless in the face of such destruction, but we also feel grateful for those willing to face the flames for the sake of their community.
