A lot has changed since 2022. I was discharged from the Marine Corps after refusing the military-wide COVID-19 vaccination mandate. At the time, I knew it was a decision that would cost me, but I made it because I believed that standing firm in my convictions mattered more than compromise. There’s always a price to pay when you refuse to move on what you believe is right. I accepted and paid that price without knowing if I’d ever wear this uniform again. Four years later, here I am in uniform once again. Older. Wiser. A changed man. Yet through all that has changed, I’ve remained steadfast in my convictions, my love for the Corps, and the standard I hold myself to. Life has a funny way of bringing things full circle. Coming back isn’t about simply picking up where I left off. It’s about returning with more perspective, gratitude, humility, and a deeper understanding of what it means to wear this uniform. God is good. Grateful to be back in the gun club. Semper Fidelis.
