AD Two years ago I set out to create a mini wildlife pond in a forgotten corner of my garden and what started as a really simple project, has quickly become my favourite yet. Frogs and wildlife soon moved in and now it’s been so successful, it’s time to expand. To help me with this new project @Citroën UK kindly loaned me a Berlingo van for the week, and to say I fell in love with it was an understatement. Having this van fitted with my lifestyle perfectly, and allowed me to complete projects like the pond build in a fraction of the time. And thanks to having the van, we were able to not only gather our supplies in one go, but actually get a larger pond lining and more plants than would have ever been possible in my car. Because of this we managed to complete the whole project in just over half a day, which would have been impossible without it. Now when it comes to inviting wildlife and garden friends into your plot, there isn’t much better than a simple wildlife pond. The best part is they couldn’t be easier to build. Simply dig a hole in a quite corner of your garden and bury a container. You can use any container but just make sure it’s at least a foot deep. Then to keep the water clear and to invite in some wildlife, it’s a great idea to create some cover by adding pond plants and decorations such as rocks and plants. Let the pond fill up, and just like that you have created a mini wildlife haven in your garden. Trust me it won’t be long before little garden friends such as frogs, toads, dragon flies and so many more move in. And it also provides a hydration station for more little garden creatures too. These garden friends will then repay you tenfold by acting as a natural pest control and helping you to balance out your garden. It is also just fun to watch and see wildlife doing its thing in your very own little corner of the world. And once again thank you to my friends at Citroën UK for lending me the amazing Berlingo van for the week. I cannot wait to show you what else we used it for. As always thank you for watching, Joe
