I have this belief that your future self is always leaving breadcrumbs for you… Little nudges and ideas you can’t stop thinking about. Dreams that make absolutely no sense given your current circumstances and a knowing that there has to be something more, even when you have zero evidence for it yet. When I started my first business, I had a 5 month old baby and $4 to my name. There was no logical sequence of events that could have shown me that one day I’d be standing in my own home with an Emmy-nominated Netflix documentary crew setting up cameras in my living room because they wanted to document my story, my work, and why I believe so deeply in changing the future of business. 😭 Like WHAT. And maybe that’s why I believe so deeply in your future self. Because I think they know where you’re going long before you do. They are the reason you can’t let the idea go. The reason something keeps calling you even when it would be much easier to be satisfied with where you are. Or maybe the reason you keep imagining a life you have absolutely no evidence for yet. You don’t need to know exactly how you're going to get to that version of you. I certainly fucking didn't. Sometimes your only job is to keep following the breadcrumbs they leave for you. Because there are things your future self considers completely normal that would bring the version of you reading this today to her knees. And I know that because somehow… $4, a baby, and a dream became this… and I know we are only just getting started. Keep going, your future self is waiting.
