Why Charging Less For Your Business Is Actually A Great Decision I think high ticket coaching sucks, and if you're a personal trainer being told to charge thousands per client, you're being used as a puppet for someone else's agenda. You're making £2,000 a month from client however a business mentor teaches you to charge £2,000 upfront for a 16 week block instead. You get people on high pressure sales calls, guilt tripping them into signing with questions like "you said you wanted to look good for your wedding, Amanda, is that still true?" and you close a handful of them in one week. Suddenly you've done £20,000 in a month. The mentor screenshots it, tells their audience their student went from £2,000 a month to £20,000 a month, and uses your face to sell their next intake. The problem with this is the inability to visualise the future cost, all you've done is collect 6 months worth of payments and not to mention THE PROBLEM LATER of RE-SELLING people into another 6 month block, assuming you've done your job, they won't need to sign for that amount again. Consequently, you've had a phat win and take your foot off the gas with the marketing side of things which slowly erodes your pipeline. Congrats, you got bent over sideways. Meanwhile I built the James Smith Academy at £50 a month. Eight figures in revenue. Over 600,000 people through the doors. I still get a dividend every single week from it without having promoted it in nearly a year, because monthly recurring revenue compounds quietly in the background whether you show up that day or not. Most people think they're all selling uniquely different things with personal training but you're selling workouts, some accountability, and someone to talk to. That's it, sorry if I hit a nerve BUT the sooner you accept it the sooner you can scale, because when you charge a sensible monthly amount clients stay, and when clients stay, you eventually build something that works without you. The business coaches selling you the high ticket dream are doing it because they can't scale with organic content. Charging you £20,000 is the only lever they've got. Don't be cheap but don't imprison yourself either Cheers, James
