I’m not afraid of burning bridges anymore. I’ve learned that losing people—friends, family, anyone—doesn’t scare me the way losing myself did. I spent too long holding onto people at the expense of my own peace, just because I was afraid of what it would mean to let them go. Three years ago, I lost myself… and I survived.
