The Incredible Sound of the German Tiger I. The Tiger I was Germany's most feared heavy tank of the Second World War. Introduced in 1942, it carried the devastating 88 mm KwK 36 gun, capable of destroying many Allied tanks at long range. Its thick armour made it incredibly difficult to penetrate from the front. However, the Tiger had major drawbacks. It was extremely expensive, mechanically unreliable, consumed huge amounts of fuel, and only around 1,350 were ever built. Despite its legendary reputation, it was too few in number to change the outcome of the war, where reliability and mass production proved more important than individual battlefield superiority. #WW2 #History #tank #Panzer #MilitaryHistory
