Very happy happy making 🫶🏼 The Dining Room rug is a Bakhtiari carpet from around 1890, it has ivory bird and cypress tree spandrels and a large central medallion ✨. It is so beautiful and Farnham Antique Carpets have replaced the selvedges on both sides to stabilise and support the outline structure ❤️ They have also consolidated the frayed and damaged ends to straighten and reinstate the fringe 📏 . Other central areas of damage have been sympathetically repaired . The whole carpet has been relayed on supporting underlay to mitigate further wear 🏰 #downtonabbey #repair #restorationvideos #castle #historylovers
