We’re finally ready to start sharing our wedding journey. This September, we’ll be getting married in France, and outside of choosing the venue itself (which we’ll share soon), the save-the-dates were our first major wedding project. If you know us, you know we have a tendency to make things far more complicated than they need to be in pursuit of a vision. This project was no exception. We went through countless versions. We tested different vendors, explored printing everything ourselves at home, and changed direction more times than we can count. In the end, we chose a printed piece that wasn’t exactly what we wanted on its own, but it gave us the foundation to transform it into something that felt unmistakably us. That pretty much sums up our entire approach to this wedding. We’re artists. We have very specific ideas about how things should look and feel, and sometimes the only way to bring those ideas to life on an artist’s budget is to roll up your sleeves and make them yourself. So that’s exactly what we’re doing. From the fashion to the décor to details most people will never notice, we’re creating as much of this wedding as we possibly can. It’s ambitious, occasionally chaotic, and probably a little ridiculous… but we’re having the best time. Follow along if you’d like to see what we’re building. We have some things planned that we’re genuinely excited to share, and we think a few of them might just blow your mind. #WeddingDIY #FrenchWedding #ChateauWedding #WeddingPlanning #gaywedding
