Replying to @soo index trackers are a great idea. It's just that people won't follow them because they're not invested in them. Pardon the pun. That's why selecting a portfolio of stocks which you understand why you bought them, you made it yourself, means it's something you're more likely to stick to. That's better than something you won't stick to, which you hoped would have suited you well
