Se la partita contro l’Ucraina è stata la mia migliore dal punto di vista personale, quella contro la Germania è stata senza dubbio la più intensa ed emozionante. Giocare una semifinale del Mondiale in casa loro è qualcosa che ti resta dentro per sempre. Ricordo ancora il rumore della traversa che colpii al 119° minuto. Per un attimo sembrò che il destino ci stesse voltando le spalle. Poi, pochi secondi dopo, arrivò il gol di Fabio Grosso. E subito dopo quello di Alessandro Del Piero. In un attimo, tutto cambiò. Quella sera abbiamo lottato su ogni pallone, sofferto insieme e difeso con il cuore fino all’ultimo secondo.
