Last week, I got a call asking if I’d honor Eminem for Rap History Month. At first, I was hesitant, I didn’t want to f*ck something like that up. So rather than giving some BS speech, I did this the only way I know how, by rapping… Truthfully, Em played a massive role in me becoming a rapper. At 15 years old, I went through a life-altering brain injury, and Shady’s music (along with some other rappers) literally saved my life. Hip-hop as a whole has given me more than I could ever pay back, so I’d like to acknowledge a few people I’ve met along this journey who changed my life. KXNG Crooked was the first elite MC to ever give me a chance. He’s done so much to help propel my career, and I’m forever indebted to Crook. Tech N9ne inspires me every day to push the pen harder, and I’m lucky to call him a friend. Shaq is my brother, and I love him to death. Diesel changed my life, and I hope I can do the same for others one day.
