“Heaven handed out some angel wings,” as my Dad Jim Frankenstein passed away peacefully on June 9th at 12:10am. I could always count on laughs from Dad anytime we would get together. He truly perfected the art of the dad joke. And anytime I had an opportunity to share one, I took it and ran with it. Once I heard him sigh, I knew I succeeded. Dad was always the biggest supporter in my music career. He was always proud of my accomplishments, and I loved sharing them with him. We loved sharing songs together as well, and I am sure he is singing loud and proud. I did not think yesterday would be goodbye, but I got to spend time with him watching our Buccos one more time. I am so thankful to have gotten to spend one more day with him. I am comforted to know that he is rejoicing in Jesus’ presence and in no more pain. He is at peace, and that brings me peace. Dad…jerky…I will miss you. I hope you are fishing with Uncle John and catching up on more Dad jokes that will make their way to me to share. Love you so much!!
