Another hurdle officially behind us❤️🩹 Birdie’s procedure today went GREAT🥹 Her surgeon reopened and thoroughly cleaned that stubborn tail incision! Although the edges weren’t healing together like they should, the tissue underneath looked very healthy🙏🏼 They treated the area, closed it back up and placed a drain which will be in for at least the next 5 days! While she was under, they were also able to remove the sutures from both of her leg amputation sites!!! There was just one tiny 1cm spot on the left side that her surgeon cleaned up and added a few stitches to, just to be extra safe. Now we cross EVERYTHING and hope her body finally heals🤞🏼 So happy to be another step closer to getting our Birdie girl back🕊️💗
