Maple update: A good sign is that he has continued to gain weight over the last few days. He is still underweight- but I’m very happy to see his weight keep climbing slowly but surely. I still haven’t received the results from his bloodwork but I do have a theory about what possibly caused this. Maple was diagnosed with arthritis about 4 or so years ago. He has pain medication and supplements to help with that but IF his arthritis has gotten significantly worse- my theory is that he isn’t going into the coop to get food during the day. The last few days I have set out more food bowls during the day so it would be easier for him to access them and that’s when his weight started going back up again. I don’t want to get my hopes up that this is an easy fix and is completely unrelated to Marshmallows ailment- but truthfully I am hoping that I’m right❤️🩹
