There was a time when having a daughter terrified me. Tea parties and dresses? What does being a girl dad look like? Then we had our daughter and everything changed... Having a daughter expanded me in the best possible ways. She's compassionate, thoughtful, and encouraging. The world is so much fun through her eyes. And all those cliche "boy things" that I wanted to do with my kids… She is the first one to volunteer. She is a tiny little version of my wife, the love of my life. As her father, I thought i'd show her the world, but it turns out she's also showing me the world. And that 's why having a daughter is the best thing ever. Happy 9th Birthday Juno!
