I did the math… the cart can stay right where it is. In 2024, I made a video saying that if returning your shopping cart puts you in a position where you can’t see your children, it’s not worth it. Four days after I posted that video, a three year old boy was murd*red while sitting in a shopping cart. Suddenly, the comments got a lot quieter. This was never just about a shopping cart. It’s about situational awareness and getting rid of the fucking mentality that “it will never happen to me.” I didn’t write LEAVE THE CART just to sell you another book. I wrote it as a tool and a reminder that protecting our children means more than being careful. It means understanding what situational awareness actually looks like in everyday life. The cart can wait. Your safety can’t.
