Milia are tiny keratin-filled cysts that commonly show up around the eyes, cheeks and forehead. They’re different from clogged pores and syringomas and when there are just a few, professional de-roofing and extraction is usually the quickest fix. Topical retinoids can also help clear them over time and prevent new ones from forming. Thick, occlusive skincare may be contributing esp around the eyes, so take a closer look at heavy creams or balms if milia keep appearing. The one thing not to do: squeeze them yourself. Digging at milia can cause inflammation and scarring and if the cyst isn’t fully removed, it may come right back. #milia #skincare #undereyes #healthyskin #beautycare
