I don't usually share personal news, but today my heart is heavy. My Bubbie, who many of you "met" through my book and videos, has passed. Bubbie was an inspiring matriarch: strong, honest, and radically authentic. Her life was rich with loving relationships. Her home was decorated exclusively with photos of loved ones and sentimental items from friends. Reflecting on a lifetime of conversations with Bubbie, I've realized that her life was defined by offering care and comfort for others. The more l've seen of her world, I've come to appreciate that she wasn't just my Bubbie, she was everyone's Bubbie (someone online once even called her "the internet's Bubbie") In her honor, I have one ask. Instead of commenting your condolences, use that time to text someone to remind them that you love them, or check in on someone who needs it. Bubbie's legacy was kindness. I would be honored if you helped my family carry it on.
