We woke up at 4am for this half marathon, but do you want to guess what time I went to bed?! 🛌 @Vacation Races put on such a fun race weekend in the Rocky Mountains! This was *hard* - a course hovering around 7,500 ft of elevation with several miles of gradual climbing at the start. My dawgs were barkin! WOOF! With our lifestyle of constantly moving and living in a tiny camper, our training wasn’t as dialed as it could have been, but we had such a fun time running with the scenic backdrop of the mountains surrounded Estes Park. I hadn’t run a distance race since 2014, and running this #vacationraces half marathon reminded me of how special the running community truly is. There’s so much energy, support, and friendliness at the start and finish line and every mile in between, and I can’t wait to sign up for my next race.
