Headmaster Rajendra Dawadi ordered evacuation of his school in Nepal’s Bidur within minutes of receiving a flood warning last week. The quick decision helped save more than 900 students and 16 staff as a destructive wave of mud and water swept through the valley. The Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School was destroyed and its former site now lies inside the riverbed. Dawadi, a former student who spent much of his life at the school, is now calling for it to be rebuilt in a safer location. Many parents are crediting the headmaster with saving their children's lives. #nepal #asia #floods
