Dude it feels surreal saying that , 10 years have come and passed and y’all have been with me thru thick n thin of it all and I’m so fucking grateful. I was in high school making this project with no goal or intention of anything but to just make whatever the fuck I felt like making and hoping I’d get maybe like 100 listens. I wanted to be a producer originally cause I never liked singing and when I started dropping music was high key to show off that I did everything and I was doubling my vocals to hide the fact I couldn’t sing in key but there was still a genuine love for writing what I was writing and I think I was lying to myself when I said I didn’t believe in it cause I was excited to put this music out and show my friends. 2016 was a pivotal year for me I was about to graduate , had a some releases under my belt and I’d play my first shows ever thanks to a fuck ton of homies that would put me on to the people putting on the shows and the show makers themselves believing in me. You know who you are and we’re all still homies which to me is the fucking sickest thing that it’s been a long journey and I can still call folks my friends. I didn’t know anything about releases, merch, logistics, metrics etc. I just did stuff and people would show up to backyard shows from far as fuck to catch the music and chop it up. It was love and with my financial aid from later that fall when I’d start college I’d make merch and shit would sell out. My community is my family and you guys have given me a reason to always try my best and bounce back whenever I feel low and taught me to celebrate my wins. The longevity of my career is something I’m so proud of and I can’t wait to keep it pushing forward and see what comes in the next 10 years. Goes without saying wannabewithu changed my fucking life and proud to say i made this record by myself in my parents house in Hawthorne and it’s made its rounds across the globe Soooo without further ado … Hawthorne to ________ this fall????
