What a way to close out 50 years of the Ramones. 🥹 Billie Joe Armstrong, Tim Armstrong, Travis Barker and CJ Ramone took the stage as Cretin Family at Hollywood Forever Cemetery alongside Billy Idol, with The Linda Lindas joining them for the finale of the Ramones 50th Anniversary Tribute. Together, they closed out the night with “Blitzkrieg Bop,” and hearing that entire crowd yell “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go!” with this many generations of punk on one stage felt like the perfect ending. CJ Ramone representing the band itself, Billie Joe and Tim Armstrong carrying that influence through Green Day and Rancid, Travis Barker through blink-182, Billy Idol bringing his own punk legacy, and The Linda Lindas representing a new generation keeping that spirit alive. Pretty hard to pick a better song to end the night with. Who else would you have wanted on stage for “Blitzkrieg Bop”? Watch the full performance now on the Cover Nation YouTube channel.
