Authentic Lebanese Vermicelli Rice ๐ฑ๐ง The golden, buttery Lebanese rice that completes every Middle Eastern meal. Fluffy, simple, and dangerously easy to burn ๐
. RECIPE BELOW โข 1 cup long-grain rice (like basmati), rinsed until water runs clear โข 1/2 cup vermicelli noodles (found at Middle Eastern grocery stores or amazon) โข 2 tbsp ghee or neutral oil (coconut or olive works too) โข 1 ยพ cups hot water โข 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste) 1. Rinse your rice several times until the water runs clear. 2. In a pot, heat the ghee or oil over medium heat. Add the vermicelli and toast, stirring constantly, until golden brown (watch it because it can go from golden to disaster fast. Trust me I burn mine allllll the time). 3. Add the rinsed rice and stir in. 4. Ass salt and pour in the hot water. Give it a quick stir. 5. Once it starts to boil, and some of water has evaporated, lower the heat, cover, and let it cook for about 15 minutes. 6. Turn off the heat, keep it covered, and let it steam for another 10 minutes. 7. Fluff gently with a fork and serve with any Lebanese or Middle Eastern dish like kebabs, stews, or grilled chicken.
