This November 2nd we have the opportunity to stand up for what is happening in this country under our current administration, and possibly our last chance to save this country’s ‘democratic experiment.’ Over 20 Black people have been found hanging from trees since Trump was elected. Let that sink in. If you care that 70% of people in ICE prisons have no criminal record. These conditions are inhumane and people have died and been killed in the name of ICE. This is not about deportation. It’s about money. How it works: Companies like CoreCivic and The GEO Group operate prisons and detention centers under contracts with federal agencies (ICE, U.S. Marshals) and state governments, typically paid per-bed or per-detainee. Immigration detention has become the industry’s fastest-growing segment. Trump has reached a record deficit of 40 trillion dollars. We are in a war we started that Trump doesn’t know how to end. We have a predator, and a convicted felon who is stealing from every single one of us and our tax payer dollars; a man who disrespects world leaders and reporters, our armed forces, anyone who disagrees with him, all while he sleeps and farts in the Oval Office—in a diaper. Don’t just get registered to vote. Get everyone you know ready to vote. Let’s stand up for each other and make this election so historic, that the United States is a place to be proud of again. We can make this country honorable again. We have to take a stand, if not for the sake of our own human interest and caring, for the sake of our global standing.
