The Liberals kept two previously held seats and picked up a third on Aug. 31, marking the party's second byelection hat trick this year. Tanveer Shahnawaz won in the Toronto riding of Beaches–East York while out in B.C., Braeden Caley picked up the win in North Vancouver–Capilano.
