What she accomplished in her one big beautiful life is almost unbelievable. I only knew her in small doses and she still always made me feel like I mattered and belonged here in country music. She showed up for me on Good Morning America, I performed in her honor at MusicCares, I gave her roses, she sent me letters (her @Imagination Library gave my daughter a whole library of books, like all kids in TN) AND very early on in my career, I got to have a chat with her on some Cracker Barrel rocking chairs.
