Almost one year without a major flare-up from my autoimmune disease, and I don’t take a single day of feeling good for granted. 💗 But looking back at one of the hardest seasons of my life, I’m reminded more than ever that I chose the right husband. When I was really sick, Billy never left my side. When I struggled with mobility, he walked me to the bathroom. When I couldn’t drive for six months, he drove me everywhere. He cooked, took care of the kids, helped take care of me, and somehow kept everything together when I couldn’t. He saw me at my weakest and never once made me feel like a burden. He was my caregiver, my best friend, my safe place, and my rock. On the days I didn’t think I had any strength left, he gave me some of his.
