Hi friends, over the past 15 years of having aesthetic work done, I've had some amazing experiences... and some that taught me lessons the hard way. When I look back, one of the biggest takeaways is that I wish I had known what questions to ask and what framework to examine the consultation process with. When I was first starting out getting aesthetic treatments done, I just assumed that if a treatment was being recommended, it was because it was the best option for me without realizing that there are always multiple options. Looking back, I wish I had asked more questions. Why this treatment? Could I get away with less? What are the risks? If something goes wrong, how do you handle it? And more… None of this is meant to demonize a product, a treatment, or a provider. My goal has always been to share the things I wish someone had told me because it would have saved me a lot of time, money, and heartache along the way. Plusss, we have to remember that at the end of the day these treatments are elective, and because of that, I think it's so important that we feel empowered to slow down, ask questions, understand our options, and advocate for ourselves. I'll be sharing a follow up post to this one with the exact questions I wish I'd known to ask for your next consultation. I hope it helps you feel a little more informed and a little more confident walking into your next aesthetics appointment. 🤍 #lasers #fillers #aesthetics #cosmeticClinic
