🥤 ASPARTAME vs FULL SUGAR — which one is actually worse? Let’s put the numbers into perspective 👇😂 A can of Pepsi Max contains roughly 200mg of aspartame. The acceptable daily intake (ADI) for aspartame in Australia is 40mg per kg of body weight, per day. So if you weigh 84kg, that’s 3,200mg per day — roughly 17 cans worth 😳 And importantly, the ADI isn’t the amount where it suddenly becomes dangerous. It’s a conservative limit designed to be safe to consume every day over your lifetime. Now compare that to regular Pepsi 👇 🥤 One can contains around 26g of sugar. Guidelines generally recommend keeping free/added sugars relatively low, with around 25–50g per day often used as a practical target depending on your energy intake. So one can can take up a BIG chunk of that. And what about the classic… 🚨 “BUT ASPARTAME CAUSES CANCER!” The evidence in humans does not show that consuming aspartame within the ADI causes cancer. Meanwhile, regularly consuming too much added sugar can contribute to excess calorie intake, weight gain and poorer metabolic health which can increase the risk of several chronic diseases over time. Does this mean Pepsi Max is healthier than water? 😂 Obviously not. But if I want something sweet without adding a heap of calories to my day… I’m grabbing the fridge cigarette every time 😂🥤 Follow for more videos that make nutrition and fat loss a whole lot easier to understand ❤️ #foryou #foryoupage #aspartame #cokezero #pepsimax
