'Life isn't about achieving the goals, it's about the journey along the way' Warning: This video contains details that some may find distressing Writer and outdoor swimmer Brigid Lowe joined Nuala McGovern in the Woman's Hour studio for our special bank holiday programme all about women and water. Brigid is the author of a new memoir, Shiver: The Lessons of the Lochs, a book about the role water - and swimming in particular - has played at difficult times in her life. The pull of water took her to Scotland where she set herself the challenge of swimming in 1,000 Scottish lochs! Brigid, who is a survivor of rape, told Nuala how the experience of being in cold water has impacted the way she feels about her body.
