It’s only a few months till our Conservatory closes for a refurb. ⌛️✨ Planted between 1980 and 1981 and opened in 1984, our Conservatory has become one of London’s most beloved hidden oases - where Brutalist concrete meets lush, otherworldly planting. Home to around 1,500 species, including rare and endangered plants, it’s a space that’s been delighting visitors for over 40 years. 🪴 But all good things must grow on. The Conservatory will close at the end of 2026 for a major renewal, giving this iconic eco-Brutalist space a chance to evolve for the next generation. Before then, there’s a chance to say goodbye to some of its leafy residents. Join one of our ticketed Plant Adoption events and give a Conservatory plant a new home before it closes. 🌱
