Congrats grads! 🎓 Here’s a truth no one tells you after college: Your first job probably isn’t your forever job.
Would you believe I was a philosophy and education major who never dreamed of ending up in real estate? In fact, I had 22 jobs before my first job in real estate. I tried all kinds of things. I sold hot dogs, worked at a department store, was a nurse’s assistant (oh boy was I not cut out for that!) and many more in between. Each job taught me more about what I was good at and what I wasn’t. I learned through many bad bosses how to be a good boss, and most importantly, I learned that I wanted to work for myself. By the time I finally fell into real estate, I’d learned so much about myself, who I wanted to become, and how to get there.
So if you’re feeling behind because you don’t have your whole life mapped out yet, good! Most successful people didn’t either. Try a lot of things and see what fits. Learn what you like and what you hate. Then follow what excites you and what you’re naturally good at, and you’ll automatically have a leg up. I wish you good luck! #graduation #collegegraduation #lifeadvice
