This is Sagrada Família in Barcelona 🇪🇸 This masterpiece took 144 years! Ground broke in 1882, and in 2026, the final cross was installed on the central Tower of Jesus Christ. This brought the basilica to its full height of 172.5 meters, making it the tallest church in the world. The genius architect Antoni Gaudí dedicated 43 years to it, famously joking, “My client (God) is in no hurry.” When Gaudí died in 1926, less than a quarter was built. Even worse, his original drawings were destroyed during the Spanish Civil War in the 1930s. To finish his vision, modern architects had to piece together surviving plaster fragments using advanced 3D modeling and aeronautical software. While the main structure is now fully complete, intricate decorative work will continue into the early 2030s. Standing inside this stone forest of rainbows was unforgettable! ✨ Shout out to my friends for bringing me here @alfonsoboada @camxgolden ❤️ 📍 Basílica de la Sagrada Família, Barcelona #spain #sagradafamilia #barcelona #traveler
