Federal workers are suing Trumps Agriculture Secretary for what they call “religious coercion” at work. Brook Rollins has used official channels to send Christian scripture, Christian messages, and promote Christian holidays. But that violates the establishment clause of the first amendment of the constitution. While she is free to proselytize her specific version of Christianity on her own time, using federal researches to coerce the diverse population of federal workers into her faith is unlawful. So a union representing almost 90,000 workers sued to stop it. They are seeking an injunction to keep religious coercion out of the office. In response, the Trump regime says “separation of church and state is not in the constitution.” Thats exactly what the establishment clause is, even if the phrase “separation of church and state” is not spelled out in the clause.
