A rant. There is a lot of discussion about authenticity in the content creator space, here is my two cents. Being genuine looks like: disclosure, balanced reviews, consistency and keeping it kind and fair. Having a more extreme reaction gains views (and that’s why they do it) but it’s not usually genuine imo. We saw some very bad behaviour with the launch of @leakedlabs recently, most of which was people jumping onto negative virality for clout. I’d love to see our beauty community approach each other in a way that’s more fair and kind. Lies shout while the truth is often more calm. Over and out.
