Angela Eastman completed the Braiding the Knoll project during a two-year fellowship in North Carolina. The project aimed to visualise human connection to the land, both as beneficiaries of nature's abundance and agents of destructive development practices. Angela braided the rim of each mown circle in a meadow adjacent to Penland School over the course of a week. The braids remained intact for more than two weeks before they were mown, a testament to the grass's resilience.
